An officer was shot; another officer and a Border Patrol suffered injuries. All three are expected to survive. The gunman was killed in the firefight.
More details: The firefight is the first fatal assault on a federal border facility this year. Officials say the rapid exchange lasted barely a minute. The airport was closed for several hours.
